Who Is John Force? posted by NHRA Fan

Born May 4, 1949, John Force is an NHRA drag racer who has recorded 134 victories in his drag racing career. He drives for John Force Racing, which he owns, and his children, Courtney Force, Brittany Force, and Ashley Force Hood are drag racers as well. At present, Courtney, Brittany, and his son-in-law, Robert Hight is racing under John.

John Force spent his childhood living in migrant farms, Indian reservations, and logging camps, and was a football player in high school. Force started his career driving a Corvette, and then switched to Monza and then to an Oldsmobile Cutlass by 1993. During 1978 to 1985, Force best finish was in the 4th place, but his performance improved dramatically from 1986 onwards when Castrol Motor Oil became his sponsor. From 1996 to 2000, Force consistently finished in the first place, and in 2002, he won his 10th world title in a row. However, in 2002, he could not win the championship, which he had been winning since 1992.

Force was able to win in five events in 2005, but again missed the championship by finishing third. However, in 2006, John Force was able to win his 14th championship title for the NHRA World Funny Car race. In 2007, he was affected by the crash of Brittany Force and death of Eric Medlen, and he started poorly with a DNQ. However, by the end of the season he was back, and won the NHRA Thunder Valley O'Reilly Nationals.

In September 2007, Force crashed his car in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Fall Nationals, and he sustained injuries to wrist, fingers, and ankle. 2008 and 2009 were not so good for Force, but in 2010 season, Force won the Auto Club Raceway, and finished far ahead in Funny Car points. In 2013, John Force won his 16th NHRA Funny Car Championship title, where he beat Courtney, his daughter in the final round.

Accentuating The Positives. Before The Countdown. posted by Daniel Claude Marshall

Cool Without getting into the hypotheticals of The NHRA Countdown, it's pretty obvious that Mike Edwards, John Force Racing, Doug Horne, Matt Smith, and Eddie Kwaracki have had a successful 2009 campaign.  So regardless of what transpires in THE Countdown, it's obvious that these individuals can accentuate the positives and label their seasons as successful.Continue reading "Accentuating The Positives. Around The Horne. posted by Daniel Claude Marshall

Cool I mean Doug Horne has had a tough stretch here.  However remember, he is pretty much a lock to be rookie of the year in pro stock motorcycle.  However, he should remember that perhaps it might be a good idea to keep a good thing going by staying in pro stock motorcycle before he switches to funny car.  I mean, if it isn't broke then don't fix it.Continue reading "Around The Horne."

Inbound link contest - Win $100! posted by Earn Money Blogging

To try and motivate our bloggers to get inbound links we're going to have a contest to see which blogger can get the most inbound links to their blog. The contest begins now and ends July 31st, 2008. To be entered in to the contest all you have to do is go out and get as many websites to link to your blog as you can and at the end of the month send us an email listing all those links. All links must be active from August 1st through August 7th when we'll be judging the entries - a winner will be announced on August 7th. All entry emails must be received by Midnight on July 31st, 2008. You can email them to sportsfan@nbabasketballonline.com

We're going to impose some restrictions on the types of links you can get so please see below for the full list of links that do NOT count.

To get started simply go to Google and find other websites and blog that are about the sports and teams that you write about. Email the website owner and ask them for a link by explaining that you think your blog would be a good resource for their readers. Or offer to write a guest post for them with your by-line and URL at the bottom of the article. Or offer to exchange links with them by writing a quick write up of their site and a reciprocal link back to them. Some webmasters will be happy to add you to their blog roll even if you don't give them a link back (which is ideal) but some may want you to link back to them - you can easily do this with a quick blog entry on your blog about their website.
